Günther Raithel Foundation announces international short film competition and encourages young filmmakers. Main prize 5,000 Euros.
"Table Tales: the way to the heart is through the stomach" reads the topic of the Clip Award 2012. The international short film competition, which premieres this year, is aimed at film and media studies students, as well as graduates who have only had their qualification for up to two years. The announcement is aimed at creative people worldwide.
The task is to produce a 20 to 120 seconds long clip on the topic of indulgence, dining and social culture, which stimulates the audience to double take and reflect through humour, being different or provocation, or just something which is very entertaining. Whether its documentary, fiction, animated or combined - the applicants choose the genre themselves. Creativity and diversity should not be restricted in any way.
The winner receives prize money of 5,000 Euros. The second prize is 1,000 Euros, for third up to tenth place, they will receive a material prize worth 500 Euros each. The winner of the public vote can rejoice over a material prize worth 1,000 Euros.
The audiovisual contributions can be uploaded onto the site www.kahlakreativ.com/clipaward from 2nd April until 31st July 2012. In cooperation with KAHLA, essential porcelain will be available for the registered participants for filming.
After the closing date for admissions, all work sent in can be viewed online. The online public is invited to vote for their favourites, which will then receive the public prize. Registered voters will receive an innovative thank you from KAHLA.
The three main prizes are allocated by a Clip Award specialist jury, which includes amongst others Nicolette Naumann, film expert and head of the biggest worldwide consumer goods trade fair Ambiente at the Messe Frankfurt GmbH, and Günter Raithel, founder of the foundation and also member of KAHLA/Thüringen Porzellan GmbH.
Günter Raithel Foundation encourages up-and-coming artistic talents Founded in 2010, the Günther Raithel Foundation is dedicated to the advancement of education, culture, science and research in porcelain, as well as related materials. The focus of the work of the non-profit foundation is working with young talents. Therefore, the well-known project "KAHLA Kreativ" supports ceramists, designers, artists and students. "With the new KAHLA Clip Award, the foundation broadens the artistic involvement with the topic dining culture now on a broader base of young creative talents", delights Günther Raithel.
